Native (“the App”) is operated by LM Digital, a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) by Leo Mangold (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the App, you agree to these terms.

What Native Does

Native is a contextual phrase translation app. You provide a phrase or situation, and the App generates natural, context-appropriate translations in your target language using AI language models.

Important: AI-Generated Content

All translations are generated by AI and may not always be accurate, natural, or appropriate for every situation. Specifically:

Use translations at your own discretion. We are not liable for misunderstandings, miscommunications, or any consequences arising from the use of AI-generated translations.

Your Account

You sign in using Google or Apple. You are responsible for maintaining access to your authentication provider. One account per person — do not share accounts.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or abuse the service. If we do, we will inform you of the reason unless prohibited by law.

Usage Limits

The App enforces daily usage limits and per-minute rate limits to ensure fair access for all users. These limits may change as we scale the service.

Beta / Testing Phase

The App is currently in a testing phase. This means:

Intellectual Property

Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data. The short version: we don’t sell your data, we store it in the EU, and you can delete your account at any time.

Limitation of Liability

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under Dutch or EU law, including liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

Service Availability

We do not guarantee that the App will be available at all times. We may experience downtime for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen issues. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time, with reasonable notice where possible.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.

Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.

If you have a dispute with us, we encourage you to first contact us at [email protected] so we can try to resolve it informally.

If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, it shall be submitted to the competent court in The Hague, the Netherlands. If you are a consumer residing in the EU, you may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

Nothing in this clause limits your right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence if you are a consumer, as required by applicable EU consumer protection law.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
